Free Dyslexia Testing

Is your child struggling at school? Or are you still struggling with reading after high school? The problem is likely due to language processing.

If reading, spelling or writing is difficult, Dysolve is the only solution that resolves the problem. This pre-screening is the first step.

It highlights common patterns linked to dyslexia and related language-based difficulties.

Why Dysolve Is Different

Identifying the problem to resolve it: The only screening/evaluation that connects to intervention.
Most dyslexia screeners and evaluations stop at identifying risk or assigning a label. Dysolve was built to get to the root of the problem: Why is reading difficult for this person? And what does it take to change that?

  • Developed by PhD experts specializing in linguistic, cognitive & executive processes
  • The only program that has corrected dyslexia, as reported in the press [NBC, CBS, Fox]
  • Supported by a large randomized controlled trial, the gold standard of intervention research
  • Independently validated by CRESP, a nationally recognized university research center
  • Using advanced technology and analytics, granted patents in the US, Canada, China, Japan, and Korea

Dysolve does not simply identify dyslexia. It evaluates underlying language processing problems and uses those findings as a blueprint for intervention.

That difference matters.

Common Signs You May Find

Reading and language difficulties vary widely across individuals.  These struggles are not caused by low intelligence, lack of effort, or poor motivation.

They often signal underlying language processing difficulties.

You may find some or all of these signs:

Speaking

  • Mispronouncing words
  • Misusing words

Listening

  • Misunderstanding instructions
  • Missing parts of messages

Reading

  • Misreading words
  • Reading slowly and haltingly

Writing

  • Misspelling words
  • Struggling to retrieve words

These patterns are often due to deeper processing  issues that relate to how the brain handles sounds, words and other components of language.

The Dysolve Pre-Screening helps you decide whether these patterns warrant a deeper look.

What the Dysolve® Pre-Screening Is

The Dysolve Pre-Screening is a free checklist designed to highlight patterns commonly associated with dyslexia and related language-based difficulties.

  • It is not a diagnosis.
  • It is not a full evaluation.
  • It does not explain the source of the difficulty.

What It Does
This pre-screening helps you

  • Recognize signs that may point to language processing difficulties
  • Understand whether it makes sense to take the next step
  • Avoid relying on testing that does not lead to meaningful intervention

A pre-screening test can help confirm concerns, but it cannot identify the specific processing problems driving them. For that, a comprehensive language processing evaluation is required.

That evaluation is administered after signup as part of the Dysolve program.

How the Dyslexia Pre-Screening Works

Step 1: Choose the age group

Select the age group that best applies. The checklist adjusts to reflect age-appropriate language and reading patterns.

Step 2: Check any items that apply

Select any items that feel true now or have been true over time. There are no right or wrong answers.

Step 3: Review your pre-screening summary

You will see a brief summary right away, along with guidance on whether a deeper evaluation may be useful.

Step 4: Decide on next steps

If you choose to continue, Dysolve administers a comprehensive language processing evaluation as part of the program after signup. This evaluation identifies specific areas of difficulty and degree of severity, guiding individualized corrective training that follows.

Unlike traditional evaluations, Dysolve’s assessment is designed to lead somewhere.

Dyslexia Testing

This checklist will not explain everything. It is designed to help you decide whether it is time to look deeper.

Everything You Need to Know

How much does Dysolve cost for one learner?

The Self-Guided plan is $99/month, which is 51% off the regular price of $200/month. This plan includes dyslexia screening, an Evaluation Report, 24/7 game access, educational materials, and technical support. For group or school pricing, we offer various pricing and package options that can accommodate your unique needs including additional screening licenses, administrator dashboards, monthly check-ins, and quarterly reports. Please contact us directly.

No, there is no separate setup or enrollment fee. The monthly subscription covers full dyslexia screening, 24/7 access to the program, and educational materials. Schools and districts can contact us for custom licensing, and discounts may apply for large groups, model sites, and special partnerships.

Individual plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment, and you may cancel at any time from your dashboard. If you cancel and return later, your progress data are kept in our system so training can continue where it left off. Please contact Customer Support for help with any account changes.

School licenses run for a year, and unused seats can be reassigned when students complete the program early.

Due to state and regional legislation and programming, you may not need to pay for your own subscription. In many districts, state law requires the school to provide dyslexia support. Ask your school to reach out to Dysolve and acquire a license for students. Schools and districts can request a demo or pilot to see how Dysolve works before committing to a larger rollout. Free dyslexia pre-screening is available. Because every learner’s program is individualized, the full experience begins only upon enrollment in the full intervention. Reach out through our Contact Us page if you’re looking for help in your school or district.

Dysolve sits in a separate category from skill-based methods. It is the only screening and intervention system that locates the root problem in language processing and then resolves it. Dysolve combines structured literacy with responsive intelligence to build an individualized program for each learner. It is the only replicable method to have proven successful with at-risk readers in grade 3+ reading achievement and validated by a randomized controlled trial by the University of Delaware.

Most families begin to see growth within a few months of consistent use with full compliance. Daily sessions of even 30 minutes matches how the brain best absorbs the training. Past learners took an average of 1.5 years to clear their reading difficulty, though timing depends on several factors such as training frequency and co-occurring conditions. Learners have reached grade-level reading when they completed the program with full compliance.

Yes, Dysolve can be used at home without school involvement, and any adult may help the learner get started. The system is designed to run on its own, so adult support is mainly for encouragement and making sure sessions happen. Each learner needs their own license so the AI can build an individualized program specifically for that person. Multiple children in one family can each have their own subscription.

Dysolve is browser-based and works on most standard computers, tablets, chromebooks with a stable internet connection. An internet connection is required because the system is creating games in real time to match each learner’s processing needs dynamically. You can also reach our support team through the Contact Us page or call 844-DYSOLVE (397-6583) with any technical issues.

Dysolve supports learners of any age including those who have moved past the early grades and have stalled with other approaches. It is designed for persons with dyslexia and related language processing issues, which often show up as trouble with reading, spelling, writing, listening, or oral expression. For questions about a specific situation, please contact our team or fill out the Find Out More form below.

Consider the 3 layers of functioning: brain processing, skills acquisition and content learning. Brain processes support the acquisition of skills such as spelling and reading. Skills support the learning of content such as science and history. Dysolve works on brain processing first. When the brain is running efficiently, then skill-based instruction by tutors or reading programs is more effective. For this reason, dyslexia interventionists incorporate Dysolve in their programs to accelerate results. But if families can only use one at a time, start with Dysolve to prime the brain, followed by skills training.

About Us

Dysolve was created to address a fundamental gap in how reading difficulties are typically approached. Many tools identify risk or assign labels but stop short of explaining why a learner is struggling or what it takes to end the difficulty. Dysolve is different.

Dysolve is grounded in more than 30 years of research and fieldwork in language processing across typical and exceptional populations, led by Coral Hoh, PhD, a clinical linguist with extensive experience working with children and adults who struggle with reading and language. The approach draws on over 40 years of reading research and has been tested with hundreds of students in a large-scale randomized controlled trial.

What distinguishes Dysolve is how evaluation and intervention are directly connected. The program identifies specific language processing difficulties and uses those findings to guide individualized corrective training. This keeps intervention focused on the underlying causes of reading difficulty, rather than teaching workarounds or compensatory strategies.

The goal is not simply to identify dyslexia but to remove the language processing difficulties that prevent learning from occurring in the first place.
